College Scholarship
Headed off to college or trade school in 2025? Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce a college scholarship opportunity for our student members! The Credit Union Foundation MD|DC College Scholarship Program for 2025 is underway now!
Members of Maryland or D.C.-based credit unions entering their freshman through senior year of college or trade school may apply. The scholarship does not apply to students in post-graduate programs and cannot be applied to the payment of student loans.
Our college-bound members are eligible to apply for one of ten $2,000 essay-based scholarships and one of two $2,000 video-based scholarships. And yes, you may apply in both categories!
Essay Topic: Credit unions play a significant role in promoting financial wellness among their members. How do you believe credit unions contribute to the financial health and stability of individuals and communities? Discuss specific benefits and provide examples or personal experiences to illustrate their impact.
Video Topic: Create a 60 second video depicting how credit unions contribute to the financial health and stability of individuals and communities.
Deadline for applications is April 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Scholarship winners will be announced in June 2025.
