JHFCU’s Platinum Rewards Visa is linked to the UChoose Rewards program. Once you have your card, you are automatically enrolled in UChoose Rewards, but need to create an account and login to see and redeem your rewards.
How It Works
For every $1 you spend in purchases using your JHFCU Platinum Rewards Visa, you earn 1 point. Points can then be redeemed for merchandise or gift cards. Occasionally JHFCU may offer a bonus promotion where you can earn 2 points for every dollar spent—watch for notices for those events to make the most out of your purchases. Note that Cash Advances and Balance Transfers do not earn reward points.
Note that points are credited after the end of the statement cycle; typically your point balance is updated in the middle of the month following the month that the points were earned. If there is a double points promotion, the extra points are added during the processing of the earned points.
There are also occasionally promotions by various vendors offering extra points. Watch for communications about these. Also, vendors sometimes participate in special “featured deals” where they award you additional points. See details in your UChoose Account.
Reward Options
UChoose Rewards features a “catalog” of merchandise as well as an extensive selection of gift cards. Gift card categories include Dining, Travel, Merchandise, Entertainment, and more. Examples of merchandise include cameras, TVs, sporting equipment and more. Gift card examples currently include Apple, Best Buy, Macy’s Lowe’s, Bonefish Grill, Dunkin’ Donuts, Texas Roadhouse, Sheetz, Wawa, and many more.
Redeeming Points
To redeem your points, login into your UChoose Account. Your available point balance will be displayed. You can then select “browse rewards” to go “shopping”. You can select gift cards or merchandise up to your available points value. Gift cards are typically sent via US mail. Note they arrive in a plain envelope.
Note: The UChoose Account is a separate site, with a separate user name and login.
* Earn one point per dollar purchase (cash advances and balance transfers are not eligible for points). Points earned will be posted to participant’s uChoose Rewards® account the following month.
