Who can join?

Another differentiating feature about credit unions is that not everyone can join – they usually serve a specific community, organization, or employer group. The Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union is the only financial institution created exclusively for the Hopkins community. Full- and part-time JHU students and children of Johns Hopkins employees are eligible for JHFCU membership. (see www.jhfcu.org for full eligibility details) Members 16-25 and currently attending college can then open a JHFCU Student Checking account.

Where we are

JHFCU has a branch in the Charles Commons dorm building, right next to the bookstore. We also have 4 other full and semi-service branch locations on Hopkins campuses: East Baltimore, Bayview, Johns Hopkins at Eastern, and Mt. Washington. (see back cover for addresses and business hours)

Your JHFCU Visa Check card also gives you access to more than 26,000 surcharge-free ATMs across the nation. (see pages 7 & 8 for ATM information) You also have 24/7 internet and phone access to your account – free! (see pages 9 & 10 for more about phone and online access)
