(A surcharge is a fee charged by the machine owner to non-customers of their organization – see page 5 for details on card and excessive withdrawal fees, which are different from surcharges.) To help give you easier access to your money, JHFCU has formed several partnerships with local and national ATM owners. As a Credit Union member, you can use your JHFCU Visa Check card to make withdrawals at more than 1,500 M&T Bank ATMs in Maryland and surrounding states or 25,000 CO-OP Network ATMs across the nation, with no surcharge from the ATM owner. And JHFCU makes them easy to find with just one search! To locate all the surcharge-free ATMs near you, just log onto www.jhfcu.org, click the “ATM/Branch Locator link,” and enter your address.
How to Make an ATM Deposit
Select the “Deposit” option on the ATM screen, choose the account to which you want to make the deposit, enter the amount, and select whether you want a receipt. The machine may then ask you if you want an envelope – choose “yes” if you need one or “no” if you already have your own. You do not need to fill out the envelope! The machine will print the necessary information on it for you once it’s received. After you put your deposit in the envelope, just insert it into the machine. There is no fee to make an ATM deposit. If you deposit a check, the first $100 is available for withdrawal immediately – the rest is “on hold” for one or more business days, depending on the type of deposit.
