 eliminate junk expenses?
  • Look for less costly alternatives to your current expenses.

  • Use coupons and mail-in-rebates; wait for sales and comparison-shop.

  • Consider factory second, refurbished, or used items where practical.

  • Do things for yourself that you previously paid others to do.

  • Increase deductibles on insurance; reduce excessive coverage.

  • Refinance or consolidate loans to lower rates.

  • Follow utility companies’ recommendations for lower power and water bills.

  • Contact phone, cable, and internet companies for better offers.

  • Don’t delay vehicle service or ignore problems; reduce driving and car pool.

  • Eat at home more often and pack lunches.

  • Enjoy free or at-home entertainment.

  • Get hair and hygiene services done at a cosmetic school.
