Surcharge-free ATMs

JHFCU offers access to over 28,000 surcharge-free ATMs and has 19 of our own ATMs conveniently located on Hopkins campuses. We realize that you're not always close to a Credit Union ATM. That is why we have partnered with M&T Bank* and a national ATM network (CO-OP) to bring you one of the largest surcharge-free ATM networks around!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some ATMs, specifically at Wawa’s, are not surcharge-free but may have an M&T logo due to a relationship between M&T and PNC (the ATMs are owned by PNC and signage will have the PNC logo also). These machines are not M&T ATMs, thus count as foreign and are subject to out-of-network ATMs charges.

*There are no surcharges to JHFCU members who make cash withdrawals from M&T Bank ATMs with their JHFCU Visa Check card (consult Visa Check card brochure or fee schedule for details on Visa Check cards at JHFCU).  JHFCU ATM cardholders will incur the normal surcharge fee M&T charges for ATM withdrawals at that bank’s machines.

Shared Branching

With Shared Branching, you have access to thousands of other credit unions' branches where you can perform basic teller transactions just as if you were in a JHFCU branch. Whether you are at work, home, favorite out-of-state destination, or a JHU parent needing to deposit to your child's account, we are always nearby.

Anywhere you see the swirl you can conduct a range of transactions, which are posted immediately to your account, such as:

 

• Deposits (JHFCU check holds apply)
• Withdrawals
• Loan Payments (except mortgage)
• Transfers between accounts
• Purchases of money orders, travelers checks and official checks**

To take advantage of this service, when you enter a shared branch you need to bring:

• Your account number
(Social Security number will not suffice)

• Valid government-issued photo identification, i.e., State Driver’s license, US Passport
