JHFCU offers access to over 28,000 surcharge-free ATMs and has 19 of our own ATMs conveniently located on Hopkins campuses. We realize that you're not always close to a Credit Union ATM. That is why we have partnered with M&T Bank and a national ATM network (CO-OP) to bring you one of the largest surcharge-free ATM networks around!

There are no surcharges for JHFCU members to make cash withdrawals from M&T machines with their JHFCU Visa Check or ATM cards (consult Visa Check/ATM brochure or fee schedule for details on ATM/Visa Check cards at JHFCU). JHFCU members can also use M&T ATMs in other parts of Maryland and in Pennsylvania and Virginia without charge.

Please Note the following countries have been blocked by JHFCU for use of JHFCU Visa Check card due to excessive fraud. Cards may still be used in these countries for PIN-base transactions (i.e. ATM or any place you use your PIN to make a purchase):

Shared Branching

With Shared Branching, you have access to thousands of other credit unions' branches where you can perform basic teller transactions just as if you were in a JHFCU branch. Whether you are at work, home, favorite out-of-state destination, or a JHU parent needing to deposit to your child's account, we are always nearby.

Anywhere you see the swirl you can conduct a range of transactions, which are posted immediately to your account, such as:

 

• Deposits (JHFCU check holds apply)
• Withdrawals
• Loan Payments (except mortgage)
• Transfers between accounts
• Purchases of money orders, travelers checks and official checks**

To take advantage of this service, when you enter a shared branch you need to bring:

• Your account number
(Social Security number will not suffice)

• Valid government-issued photo identification, i.e., State Driver’s license, US Passport
